Barbados names training squad

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – The Barbados selectors have named 28 players for a training camp to prepare for the upcoming regional cricket season. The list includes several experienced players who have played at the international level.

The new names in the squad are: Carlos Brathwaite, a tall allrounder capable of powerful strokeplay; Kirk Gibson an attacking left-hander and outstanding fielder; lively fast bowler Corey Edwards and Nikoli Charles, a leg-spinner who has been impressive at club level in the last three seasons.

The squad will have net sessions and then two trial matches next Tuesday and Thursday at the Wanderers Cricket Club.
