West Indies to host three touring teams next year
ST. JOHN'S, Antigua -- The West Indies will host three touring teams next year, including a reciprocal tour by India late June. This was disclosed on Thursday by Tony Howard, Chief Cricket Operations Officer with the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).
Howard said England arrive mid-January for a full Caribbean tour, which will involve four Tests, five ODIs and a Twenty/20 International.
Bangladesh arrive in late March for a one-month tour, which will feature two Tests, 3 ODIs and one a Twenty/20 International and India will be in the region four ODIs, which will take place on June 26th and 28th and July 3rd and 5th. They arrive shortly after the International Cricket Council’s Twenty/20 World Championship which will be played in England in June.
Howard explained that the visit by India is a reciprocal tour to that undertaken by West Indies just prior to World Cup 2007.
