Gayle run out in mix-up but Jamaica reach 67-1 off 10 overs
Jamaica reached 67-1 off 10 overs in pursuit of 125 in 20 overs against Leeward Islands in Match 2 of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Caribbean T20 Tournament at Kensington Oval on Thursday night. They need another 58 to win in the final 10 overs to win and join Trinidad and Tobago at the top of Zone A.
Jamaica were going along very well as Chris Gayle (22) and Xavier Marshall (23 not out) added 60 for the first wicket off 7.2 overs, but Gayle was unfortunately run out in a mix-up. Marlon Samuels, who is making a return to regional cricket after a two-year absence, is on two not out.
