Guyana lose Chattergoon and Sarwan; 76-2 off 10 overs

Guyana reached 76-2 off the first 10 overs in pursuit of 157-8 made by the Windward Islands in Match 3 of the West Indies Board’s Caribbean T20 Tournament at Kensington Oval on Friday afternoon. A tight finish is in store as Guyana need another 82 off the last 10 overs.

The batsmen to fall were left-hander Swenarine Chattergoon (10) and skipper Ramnaresh Sarwan (12). Chattergoon was out to a brilliant running catch by Donwell Hector off Darren Sammy, while Sarwan top-edged a hook and was caught by Sammy at square leg off pacer Nelon Pascal, who hustled the batsmen with his extra pace. The keys to the Guyana’s effort are Travis Dowlin on 38 not out and Narsingh Deonarine on six not out.
