WICB extends sympathies on Gene Butler's passing
St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board expresses deepest sympathies to the children and relatives of Gene Butler, wife of former West Indies and Trinidad & Tobago cricketer and President of the Leeward Islands Cricket Association Bunny Butler, who passed on Wednesday last.
Gene, who was married to Bunny for over 50 years, was active in the women’s Pokino Group in St John’s and the couple founded the Antigua Hash House Harriers.
Bunny, who passed away last year, played one Test against Australia in 1955. In addition to playing for Trinidad and Tobago he also represented Antigua.
