No play in Guyana or Grenada

Georgetown, Guyana - For a second day running no play was possible at the Bourda Cricket Ground in Guyana where the home side is slated to do battle with Leeward Islands. The historic Bourda field was under water due to continued heavy rains in Guyana. There was no play on Day One as the toss was not even spun. At soonest play is expect to begin late Sunday afternoon if the showers stay away.

Meanwhile the rain also dominated at the Grenada National Stadium in Grenada with no play on Day Two due. At the end of Day One Jamaica had reached 177 for six with a top score of 40 from the in form Marlon Samuels, 35 from Tamar Lambert and 28 not out by Dave Bernard Jr 28 not out. The Windwards Islands bowlers had kept the Jamaican batsmen on a tight leash but were unable to make further progress because of the undesirable weather.
