TEA: Kantasingh's 5-38 stuns Windwards

Cave Hill, Barbados – A superb bowling performance by Kavesh Kantasingh earned Combined Campuses & Colleges first innings lead of 83 over Windward Islands in the WICB First-class semi-final at 3Ws Oval.

The left-arm spinner ended with 5-38 from 16.2 overs as the Windwards were bundled out for 173 in reply to CCC’s 256. Kantasingh was celebrating all day as he reached his 100th first-class wicket when he took his third wicket. He was well supported by off-spinner Ryan Austin (2-53) and seamer Carlos Brathwaite (3-24) after he was the fifth bowler introduced into the attack.

The Windwards batting was poor and at one stage they slumped 54-5. They were revived thanks to a sixth-wicket stand of 68 between Lyndon James (48) and Kevin James (31). Close to the end, Nelon Pascal lashed three boundaries in 20 from 14 balls.
