Rampaul's four destroys Pakistan

Georgetown, Guyana, CMC – West Indies made a steady start in pursuit of a modest victory target, after Ravi Rampaul led the way with another penetrative spell in the fifth and final Digicel One-Day International against Pakistan.


Lendl Simmons was not out on 17 and Kirk Edwards was not out on seven, as West Indies reached 34-0 from six overs, after they dismissed Pakistan for 139 in 41.2 overs on Thursday at the Guyana National Stadium.


Rampaul was the most successful West Indies bowler in the demolition of the Pakistan batting, finishing with 4- 45 runs from 10 overs. Windies skipper Darren Sammy produced his best performance for the series with the ball, collecting 3-30 from 10 overs, and Dwayne Bravo supported with 2- 16 from 5.2 overs.


It was the first time in the series that the West Indies bowlers dominated the Pakistan batsmen, with Mohammad Hafeez leading the way for the visitors with 55 from 83 balls.
