WICB announces TT v Sagicor HPC as fans get 2x the action

Port of Spain, Trinidad – Cricket fans in Trinidad will get double the action for the price of one match. The Caribbean Twenty20 champions Trinidad & Tobago will face the next generation of West Indies cricketers in a double header on Saturday June 4 to kick off the West Indies v India Series 2011. The first match at 10am at the Queen’s Park Oval will see West Indies clash with India in a one off Digicel Pearls Twenty20 in India’s first match since winning the Cricket World Cup 2011. In the second T20 match, starting at 2pm, Trinidad & Tobago led by Daren Ganga will play the Sagicor High Performance Team in what is expected to be a keen contest as the Trinidadians continue their preparations for participation in the Airtel Champions League. Exciting rising stars Devon Thomas, Kieran Powell, Brandon Bess, Jason Holder, Veerasammy Permaul, Shannon Gabriel and others will be on show for the Sagicor High Performance Team which is currently in the second semester of the first year at the Cave Hill campus in Barbados. Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Denesh Ramdin and Reyaad Emrit are expected to turn out for their native Trinidad & Tobago.
