TT aim to blood new talent in S/Africa

PIARCO, TRINIDAD - Trinidad and Tobago women’s cricket captain Merissa Aguilleira says one of the aims of the team’s tour of South Africa, which begins this weekend, is to help groom younger players.

The cricketers, who left Trinidad on Wednesday, will engage local clubs in a goodwill tour starting tomorrow.

BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS - Teams from Trinidad and Tobago dominated the 12th edition of the West Indies Women Windball Cricket Festival which finished in darkness on Easter Monday at 6:40 p.m at the Victor Houston playing field.

Cricket Lovers won the final on a faster scoring rate against Combine Forces in an all-Trinidad affair.

Cameron elected WICB President

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – Jamaican businessman Dave Cameron was on Wednesday elected president of the West Indies Cricket Board, beating incumbent Dr Julian Hunte in a close vote at the Annual General Meeting here.
