Umpire Doctrove to stand in his 100th ODI at Lord's on Monday

St John's, Antigua: Billy Doctrove, the outstanding international umpire, will celebrate a special milestone on Monday when he officiates in his 100th One-Day International. Doctrove, the 55-year-old who hails from the island of Dominica, is slated to stand in the fourth One-Dayer between England and Pakistan at the historic Lord’s Ground – the home of cricket.

WICB and Digicel join forces to launch Youth Development Programme

Bridgetown, Barbados: The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) and Digicel, proud sponsor of cricket in the West Indies today announced details of the Digicel Youth Cricket Development Programme. The two-year agreement will see youth development clinics take place in all WICB territorial boards – Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Leeward Islands, Windward Islands and Trinidad and Tobago – with hundreds of aspiring young cricketers being coached in the basic skills of the game, with a view to creating a pool of talented young West Indian cricketers.

Taylor hits 62 not out as Jamaica beat Barbados by eight wickets

Jamaica recorded the first victory of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Women’s 50-Over League when they trounced Barbados by eight wickets on Thursday. The Jamaicans, who are joint favourites for the title along with Trinidad and Tobago, strolled to 100-2 off 29 overs after dismissing the Bajans for 99 off 46 overs.
