Daley climbs up ICC rankings

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, CMC – All-rounder Shanel Daley’s form against Sri Lanka has seen her make huge strides in the latest International Cricket Council One-Day International rankings released Tuesday.

The 23-year-old left-hander was the leading run-getter in the just concluded three-match series in the Caribbean, gathering 150 runs with two half-centuries. She also snared six wickets an average of 14 with her left-arm medium pace.

Windies bat first in 2nd T20

West Indies Women won the toss and decided to bat first against Sri Lanka Women in the second Twenty20 International on Wednesday at Kensington Oval.

West Indies made one change to the team which won the first match on Wednesday, with allrounder Pearl Etienne replacing seamer Shakera Selman. The Windies are again being led by leading allrounder Stafanie Taylor, who fills in for Merissa Aguilleira, who is unavailable for the second match.

The West Indies won the just-concluded three-match One-Day International Series 2-1.

Windies go one up as Daley stars

Bridgetown, Barbados -- A good allround performance by Shanel Daley led West Indies Women to an easy 23-run victory over Sri Lanka Women in the first T20 International at Kensington Oval on Tuesday.

The Jamaica left-hander came to the crease at two wickets down for 51 at the end of the 11th overs and topscored with a stroke-filled 48 off 28 balls. She piloted the West Indies to 77 runs in the last nine overs to dominate the visitors spin-based bowling attack.

Daley leads Windies with career-best 48

Shanel Daley continued her good form with the bat as she piloted West Indies Women’s to a challenging 127-7 off their 20 overs against Sri Lanka Women in the opening match of the five-match Twenty20 Series on Wednesday.

The Jamaican left-hander made a stroke-filled 48 off just 28 balls with four boundaries and a six on a good batting surface at Kensington Oval. It was Daley’s best score in a T20 International, beating her previous highest of 35.
