President hails victory over South Africa

St John’s, Antigua – President of the West Indies Cricket Board Dr. Julian Hunte has hailed the West Indies Women for their comprehensive series victory over South Africa in the recently concluded Twenty20 International series.

Campbell expects Windies to impress

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados - Head coach Sherwin Campbell says he anticipates an impressive showing from West Indies Women in the ICC Women's World Cup which begins January 31 in India. 

The 15 member team, captained by Merissa Aguilleira, left the Caribbean Tuesday to participate in the tenth edition of the tournament which runs until February 17.

Daley spins WI to Series sweep

GROS ISLET, St Lucia, CMC – Left-arm spinner Shanel Daley inspired West Indies Women to a clean sweep of their two-match Twenty20 International series against South Africa Women, helping to set up a comfortable six-wicket win in the final encounter here Sunday evening.

Sent in, South Africa laboured to 94 for six off their 20 overs with Daley snaring three for 22 from her four overs to stifle scoring.

Captain Mignon du Preez top scored with 26 and wicketkeeper Trisha Chetty chipped in with 22, but runs proved difficult to come by.

Dottin puts on special show in 50th T20

Gros Islet, St Lucia – Deandra Dottin showcased her batting prowess as West Indies Women overpowered South Africa Women to win the first T20 International by 8 wickets at Beausejour Cricket Ground on Saturday.
