Windies return home to big welcome

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – West Indies Women returned to the Caribbean on Sunday evening following a long but successful tour of Asia.

The side, led by captain Merissa Aguilleira, were greeted on arrival by West Indies Cricket Board president Julian Hunte and other cricket officials, along with fans and family.

S t John’s, Antigua – President of the West Indies Cricket Board Dr. Julian Hunte hailed the West Indies Women team and the only female WICB Director, Jennifer Nero, on International Women’s Day, today, March 8th.

Dottin, Daley inspire 7 run win

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka – West Indies women clinched a tight seven run win over Sri Lanka women in the final T20 match to secure the series 4-1 at the R Premadasa Stadium here Friday. 

Deandra Dottin slammed a top score of 43 to set up West Indies total of 122 for five and received support in building the innings from Juliana Nero.

Sri Lanka win thriller in last over

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka – Sri Lanka pulled off a dramatic 4 wicket win over West Indies in the last over of their fourth T20 international at the R Premadasa Stadium here Thursday.

Chamani Rasangika scored two runs off Shanel Daley with just three balls remaining to seal a cliff hanger which could have gone either way.

Change to Super50 schedule

St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board today announced a change in the Regional Super50 schedule.

The three Round 4 matches which were scheduled to be played on Tuesday March 12, have been brought forward to Monday March 11.
