Windward Islands v. Guyana: TCL Group West Indies Under 19 Challenge

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC) – The Windward Islands enjoy a two-run first innings lead over defending champions Guyana at the end of the first day of their TCL Group West Indies Under-19 second-round match at Combermere School on Wednesday.

The Windward Islanders reached 120 for three by the close after 18-year-old Vincentian leg-spinner Kerron Cottoy and 17-year-old St Lucian off-spinner Dalton Polius had combined to wreck the Guyana innings for 118 on a good batting track.

Barbados v. Trinidad & Tobago: TCL Group West Indies Under 19 Challenge

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados (CMC) – The Barbados youngsters, seeking their first TCL Group West Indies Under-19 title in five years, gave another inspired performance and closed in a position of strength against Trinidad and Tobago as their second-round match started Wednesday.

Leading the charge for the home team at Kensington Oval were impressive fast bowler Jason Holder who bagged four wickets for 19 runs, and talented opening batsman Rashidi Boucher who hit his second half-century in the tournament.

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – Trinidad & Tobago, replying to Jamaica’s first innings of 328 for nine declared, reached 189 for six at the close on the second day of their first round TCL West Indies Under-19 Challenge match at Banks Brewery Saturday.

TCL Group West Indies Under 19 Challenge Scores

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados - Jamaica ended in a strong position at the close of the opening day of the TCL Group West Indies Under 19 Challenge which is being played in Barbados.  Electing to bat against Trinidad and Tobago, they reached 294 for seven at Banks Brewery Friday.

Lunch Update: TCL Group West Indies Under 19

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – The Windward Islands, sent in to bat by Barbados, reached 44 for six at lunch in their first-round TCL Group West Indies Under-19 tournament on Friday.  The two teams are doing battle at the 3Ws Oval at the University of the West Inides, Cave Hill campus.

WINDWARDS 44-6 (Dalton Polius 19; Diego Stuart 2-8, Randall Hoyte 2-12).

Meanwhile, the Leeward Islands sent in to bat by Guyana, reached 83 for five at lunch in their first-round TCL Group West Indies Under-19 tournament on Friday at Kensington Oval.
