Bridgetown, Barbados, CMC – A half-century stand for the last wicket put Barbados in a strong position to beat Guyana on the second day of their fifth round clash in the WICB Regional Under-19 Championship on Wednesday.
Barbados were cruising at 104 for three before collapsing spectacularly to be tottering on 150 for nine, as they lost six wickets for just 46 runs at the Desmond Haynes Oval.
They were undermined by left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie-Kanhai who picked up five for 73 and pacer Romario Shepherd who claimed three for 34.
