Permaul, Gabriel seal series

KINGSTOWN, St Vincent, CMC – Left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul and pacer Shannon Gabriel grabbed wickets at crucial stages to fire West Indies A to a comfortable 34-run win over Bangladesh A in the second One-Day game here Friday.

Captain Permaul claimed three for 28 and Gabriel, three for 31, as Bangladesh A crashed to 164 all out off 41.4 overs in pursuit of a revised target of 198 off 45 overs after rain intervened in the affair at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex.

A Team eyeing second win

Kingstown, St Vincent, CMC – Following a four-wicket win in the first of the three-match limited overs series here on Wednesday, West Indies A will be again hoping to beat Bangladesh A in the second encounter on Friday.

The teams have been fairly competitive from the two-match four-day series, which West Indies won 1-0, followed by the two Twenty20 ‘Internationals’ which were drawn 1-1 in St. Lucia last weekend.

Now the regional reserves want to prove a point.

Carter leads Windies A to opening win

KINGSTOWN, St Vincent, CMC – Jonathan Carter’s unbeaten half-century was enough to see West Indies A to victory by four wickets, in the opening one-dayer of the three-match series against Bangladesh A here Wednesday.

The right-hander stroked 68 as West Indies overhauled their target of 183, reaching 184 for six off 44.4 overs at the Arnos Vale Stadium.

Windies A take 2nd T20

Gros Islet, St Lucia, CMC – Skipper Dwayne Smith smashed a commanding, unbeaten half-century and pacer Krishmar Santokie snatched four wickets in another fine bowling performance as West Indies A hit back to beat Bangladesh A by 55 runs and level the two-match Digicel Twenty20 series on Saturday night.
