Bishoo taking steps back to the top

Gros Islet, St Lucia — Devendra Bishoo is working his way back to the top level of international cricket. The leg-spinner has a plan in place to regain a spot in the West Indies senior team, and that plan includes “a lot of hard work”.

WICB salutes Sir Wesley Hall

St John’s, Antigua – President of the West Indies Cricket Board Dr. Julian Hunte has sent congratulations to the legendary former West Indies fast bowler and WICB President, Rev Wes Hall, following the announcement of his knighthood.

The Government of Barbados, announced today, that Hall has been made a Knight Bachelor as part of the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

Bishoo sends India A crashing

GROS ISLET, St Lucia, CMC – Leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo made a welcome return to form as West Indies A had the better of the exchanges on the opening day of the decisive third Digicel “Test” against India A on Saturday.

The 25-year-old, who has struggled in the series with just a single wicket in the two matches so far, claimed three for 40 and had a brilliant run out to help dismiss India A for 230 after they were sent in at the Beausejour Cricket Stadium. He was supported by seamer Jonathan Carter who picked up three for 67.

Johnson: HPC 'made all the difference'

Arnos Vale, St Vincent — Delorn Johnson is looking for more success with the ball when he lines up for West Indies A against India A in the third and final Digicel four-day ‘Test’ match on Saturday at Beausejour Cricket Ground.

Springer: Positive approach paying off

Gros Islet, St Lucia — Coach of the West Indies A Team Hendy Springer is pleased with what he has seen so far from his players against India A. Speaking on Thursday during the team’s three-hour training session at Beausejour Cricket Ground, Springer said it was “heartening to see” the way the regional side has performed in the two four-day Digicel “Test” matches so far.
