Bravo bats Windies to draw

Bridgetown, Barbados, CMC – A half-century from Darren Bravo and a solid knock from Carlton Baugh helped West Indies secure a draw in the Second Digicel Test against India on Saturday.

Chasing 281 for victory, West Indies were 202 for seven when fading light ended the contest with 10.3 overs remaining in the day’s play at Kensington Oval.

Bridgetown, Barbados, CMC – West Indies, chasing 281 for victory, were 108 for three at tea on the final day of the Second Digicel Test against India at Kensington Oval on Saturday.

Lunch Day 5: Windies 2 down chasing 281

Bridgetown, Barbados, CMC – West Indies made a shaky start in their bid for victory before lunch, after another incisive spell of fast bowling from Fidel Edwards in the Second Digicel Test against India on Saturday.

At the interval, West Indies, chasing 281 for victory, reached 51 for two in their second innings on the final day at Kensington Oval, with opener Adrian Barath not out on 23 and left-handed compatriot Darren Bravo not out on five.

Bridgetown, Barbados – India declared their second innings at 269 for six wickets, setting the West Indies 281 for victory on the fifth and final morning of the Second Digicel Test match at Kensington Oval.

The visitors started the day on 229-3 and added 40 runs in an hour and 15 minutes. VVS Laxman topscored with 87 to follow-up his first innings 85. He eventually fell caught at slip by skipper Darren Sammy off Fidel Edwards, who took all three wickets to fall in the session to end with five for 76 from 23 overs.
