Rain halts WI victory charge

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad — Persistent rain spoiled a West Indies run chase at 53-2 in pursuit of a target of 215 in 61 overs against Australia as the second Digicel Test ended in a draw on Thursday. Showers arrived 30 minutes before tea and there was no more play possible on the fifth and final day at Queen’s Park Oval.

Roach takes 10 in the match

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad — West Indies fast bowler Kemar Roach captured two wickets just after lunch on the fifth and final of the third Digicel Test as the West Indies kept Australia’s batsmen on the backfoot.

The 23-year-old forced Mike Hussey to drag in a length delivery and two balls later knocked out the off stump of Ben Hilfenhaus. He took 5-41 in the second innings to end with 10-146 in the match - his fourth five-wicket haul in and first ten-for in a Test match.
