Dhaka, Bangladesh -- West Indies were crowned as champions of the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifiers, after defeating Pakistan by 130 runs on Saturday.

By virtue of winning the tournament, West Indies have risen in the Reliance ICC Women’s ODI Team Rankings – West Indies now sit fifth in the world while Pakistan has risen from eighth to now occupy sixth place.

Windies hit back to get amazing draw

Mumbai, India - West Indies snatched a thrilling draw with the scores level after India failed to score the three runs they needed for victory in the last over on a riveting final day of the third and final Test on Saturday.

Needing two runs to win off the last ball, Ravichandran Ashwin and Varun Aaron scampered a single before Ashwin was run out while going back for an improbable second run, with India finishing on 242-9.

Amazing Anisa wins it for Windies

Dhaka, Bangladesh -- West Indies Women defeated Pakistan Women by 130 runs to win the Final of the International Cricket Council’s Women’s World Cup 2013 qualification tournament on Saturday.

West Indies made 250-5 off their 50 overs and then bowled out Pakistan for 120 off 37.3 overs before a large crowd at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

Dhoni rested, Sehwag in charge for ODIs

Mumbai, India - India have rested captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and named opener Virender Sehwag as skipper for the One-Day series against West Indies starting next week.

Sachin Tendulkar, who still needs one more century to complete 100 international hundreds, has been rested for the first three matches, BCCI secretary Sanjay Jagdale said in a statement on Friday.

“Yuvraj Singh was not considered for selection as he has informed us that he is not fully fit,” Jagdale added.

Rampaul: We planned Sachin's demise

Mumbai, India — West Indian fast bowler Ravi Rampaul admitted it was a “good feeling” as his plan to dismiss Sachin Tendulkar short of his 100th international century worked to perfection.

Rampaul, the hard-working right-armer, had Tendulkar caught by captain Darren Sammy at second slip for 94 -- six runs short of the landmark in the morning session on Friday.
