WI make shaky start

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – West Indies failed to build on the hard work of their bowlers – led by Kemar Roach – and made a shaky start to their batting in the second Digicel Test against Australia on Monday.

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Jamaica recorded an amazing come-from-behind victory over Barbados on Tuesday to win the Final of the Regional 4 Day Tournament in style at Sabina Park.

After conceding first innings lead, the Jamaicans bounced back to set the visitors a victory target of 230 runs. The Bajans folded for a mere 90 runs and the Jamaicans won by 139 runs.

For winning the title, the Jamaicans took home the Headley/Weekes trophy, named in honour of West Indies legends, the late George Headley and the evergreen Sir Everton Weekes.

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – West Indies, replying to Australia’s first innings total of 311, reached 49 for three when bad light stopped play 5.3 overs early on the second day of the second Digicel Test on Monday at the Queen’s Park Oval.
