Windwards bat first as CT20 bowls off

NORTH SOUND, Antigua, CMC – Windward Islands won the toss and chose to bat in the opening match of the Caribbean Twenty20 tournament against Trinidad & Tobago on Monday at the Vivian Richards Cricket Ground.

Jimmy Adams to coach Kent

London, England -- Kent County Cricket Club have announced the appointment of former Jamaica and West Indies captain Jimmy Adams as their new Head Coach.

Adams, who is a former Technical Director of the Jamaica Cricket Board, will take up the role at the St Lawrence Ground in early February.

ARG to get million-dollar facelift

St John’s, Antigua, CMC – Minister of Sport, Senator Winston Williams, announced on Wednesday that the Government intends to spend around US $6 million to renovate the famous Antigua Recreation Ground.

T&T, Barbados to clash in Festival final

Cave Hill, Barbados, CMC – Reigning Caribbean champions Trinidad & Tobago will face arch-rivals Barbados in the Grand Final of the UWI Cave Hill Twenty20 Festival on Friday.

This followed victories by the two sides in their final preliminary matches of the competition on Thursday at the Three Ws Oval.

WICB outlines position to Guyana's Minister of Sport

St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board today wrote to the Minister of Sport of Guyana, Dr. Frank Anthony in response to a letter from the Minister to the WICB on January 4th.

The WICB outlined to Minister Anthony that it strongly desires to have the Guyana team participate in the Caribbean Twenty20 Tournament starting on Monday January 9th in Antigua.
