Galle, Sri Lanka - West Indies bowlers put in a spirited bowling performance on the third morning to grab two wickets as Sri Lanka reached 148-3 at lunch at the Galle International Stadium.

Starting the day on 54-1 in reply to West Indies mammoth 580-9 declared, the hosts lost skipper Kumara Sangakkara and Tharanga Paranavitana – both bowled through the gate. Fast bowler Kemar Roach and seamer Dwayne Bravo took the wickets.

Galle, Sri Lanka - Chris Gayle has given the people of the Caribbean and cricket lovers all over the world 333 reasons to smile. The powerful left-hander made a monumental triple-century as the West Indies amassed 580-9 declared on Day 2 of the 1st ERI Test match. Sri Lankan reached 54-1 in reply at the Galle International Stadium when bad light broad an early close.

Galle, Sri Lanka - Chris Gayle made an epic 333 – the best score of his career – as West Indies piled on the runs on day two of the opening Test against Sri Lanka at the Galle National Stadium.

Gayle, who resumed on 219 added another 114 runs and faced a total of 437 balls while hammering 34 power-packed boundaries and nine mighty sixes as the Windies gorged themselves to 580 for 9 declared.
