Allow me, on behalf of the West Indies Cricket Board congratulate President Joel Garner and the Barbados Cricket Association for hosting this auspicious event and continuing the tradition of honouring those who have made noteworthy achievements in the past year.

PREVIEW: WI battle weather, Sussex

HOVE, England, CMC – West Indies had their first full practice session under bleak skies here Friday, weather that is likely to be a foretaste of conditions during the upcoming three-Test series starting later this month.

The tourists battled wintry Spring temperatures as they were put through a three-hour workout by head coach Ottis Gibson at the PROBIZ County Ground, ahead of their three-day game against Sussex at the same venue on Saturday.

HOVE, England – Kirk Edwards said he was looking forward to playing this weekend, as West Indies prepared to face Sussex Sharks in a three-day, tour match, starting on Saturday at the PROBIZ County Ground.

The West Indies vice-captain said this weekend’s match was important, as the visitors tried to get acclimatised to English conditions ahead of their three-Test series against the hosts, which starts later this month.
