Dr. Hunte salutes Elquemedo Willett

St. John’s, Antigua – President of the West Indies Cricket Board Dr. Julian Hunte today saluted Nevisian left-arm spinner Elquemedo Willett on the 40th anniversary of his debut for West Indies.

W illett was the first player from Leeward Islands to play for West Indies. He debuted on March 9, 1973 against Australia at Kensington Oval in Barbados.

GCB expresses ability in tour hosting

St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board today announced that the Guyana Cricket Board has written to advise of the GCB’s ability to host the First Test between West Indies and Pakistan in July.

Santa Cruz take Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket

KINGSTON, JAMAICA - The Santa Cruz Primary School Kiddy Cricket team are champions of the inaugural WICB/Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket Festival.

After playing 50 preliminary zone matches and inter-parish play-offs over a three-week period, Santa Cruz Primary trumped Westmoreland's Howard Cooke Primary to take top honours.

Change to Super50 schedule

St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board today announced a change in the Regional Super50 schedule.

The three Round 4 matches which were scheduled to be played on Tuesday March 12, have been brought forward to Monday March 11.

GCB given deadline to show ability

St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board has announced that it had given the Guyana Cricket Board a deadline of March 7th 2013 to advise on its ability to host the West Indies v Pakistan First Test slated for July.

The GCB had been advised of the deadline on February 16th last.
