West Demerara lift DCB Inter-Association U-17 title

GEORGETOWN, GUYANA - West Demerara lifted the Demerara Cricket Board (DCB) Inter-Association Under-17 title after recording the most victories in the tournament that prematurely ended on Monday due to the inclement weather.

West Demerara won two of their matches with the third game being washed out. On Saturday they defeated Georgetown by 21 runs before thrashing East Coast Demerara by 73 runs on Sunday.

East Coast Demerara and Georgetown won one game each. Georgetown defeated East Bank Demerara on Friday, while East Coast Demerara defeated East Bank Demerara on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the DCB announced their squad for the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Inter-County Under-17 competition which is scheduled to bowl off on Friday.

Squad: Travis Persaud (captain), Tevin Imlach (vice captain), Ronaldo Renee, Chetenarine Pooran, Sherfane Rutherford, Clitus Johnson, Devendra Chunilall, Navindra Seeraj, Navendra Persaud, Keshram Keyhodan, Mark Hamilton, Daniel Basdeo, Carlton Jacques, and Shamar Grayham.

Standby: Samuel McKenzie, Sahadeo Ramkellwan, Nioli Reddy, Steven Mangal, Devroy Williams, and Josha Ram. The manager is Robert Adonis while Gavin Nedd has been appointed head coach.
