St John's, Antigua - Matches are moving at a pace as an entertaining second session ends throughout the Caribbean in round six of the Regional 4-Day tournament.
In Port of Spain, the Trinis took another five wickets in the second session to bowl out Jamaica for 177 and earn themselves a handy 64-run first innings lead. Gabriel finished with 3-48 while Richards and Khan both had two wickets each.
At North Sound, the Leewards were battling back during the second session, going to Tea on 139/5. Shacaya Thomas was unbeaten on 68 but he was quickly running out of partners. Guyana made 240 in their first innings.
In Kingstown, the Combined Campuses & Colleges started their second innings after bowling out the Windward Islands for 157 and gaining a 68-run lead. Having faced six overs, they were 27/0 at the final break on Day 2.
Wickets tumbled in the first sessions of play on Day 2 of the sixth round of matches in the Regional 4-Day, currently going on across the Caribbean.
In Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago won the first session when they took five Jamaican wickets. The hosts are defending a low first innings total of 244. Jamaica scored 71 runs in the session, finishing on 95/5. Shannon Gabriel led the desruction with 3-42.
At North Sound, the Leeward Islands lost a couple of early wickets after Guyana were bowled out for 240. Kieran Powell made 17 while Javia Liburd was out for 5. Ronsoford Beaton and Keon Joseph had a wicket each.
In Kingstown, the Windward Islands are in serious trouble against the Combined Campuses & Colleges. Having bowled out CCC for 225 on Day 1, the Windwards started Day 2 on 17/0. They went to Lunch on 120/6. Ryan Austin has 4-38 while Justin Greaves and Jomel Warrican both got a wicket each.
Day 2 of the sixth round of matches in the Regional 4-Day Tournament promises to be an exciting one with three matches being played concurrently, starting at 10am Eastern Caribbean Time.
In Port of Spain, Jamaica will resume their first innings on 24/0, having bowled out T&T on Day 1 for 244. The visitors trail by 220 runs with 10 wickets in hand.
At Arnos Vale, the Windward Islands still managed to take the honours on a rain-hit Day 1. Having bowled out the Combined Campuses & Colleges for 225, the Windwards will resume their first innings this morning on 17/0.
At North Sound, Leon Johnson's fighting century on Day 1 against the Leeward Islands propped up Guyana, who finished the first day on 238/9. Anthony Martin will be eyeing a five-for having already taken 4-48.
