T&T hit for six in Round 6

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad - Trinidad and Tobago have lost the services of six key frontline players as they prepare to resume their campaign in the regional four-day championships this weekend.

Five players- Dwayne Bravo, Kevon Cooper, Keiron Pollard, Samuel Badree and Sunil Narine-are leaving the region this week to take part in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The sixth unavailable player is left handed batsman Darren Bravo who has asked to be excused.

Meantime, Denesh Ramdin has returned to lead the Trinidad and Tobago team against Jamaica in the fifth round of the regional four-day competition starting on Saturday.

Ramdin is joined by Shannon Gabriel who have both returned from West Indies duties against Zimbabwe.

They will oppose Jamaica in a Super-50 clash next week Thursday following their four-day fixture.

The Trinidadians, who lost their opening match to leaders Windwards, have since rebounded with a string of victories to be tied for second in the league with Jamaica.
