Mohammed spares T&T blushes

KINGSTOWN, St Vincent – Middle order batsman Jason Mohammed stroked an important half-century to prop up Trinidad and Tobago on the opening day of their first Regional Four-Day Championship clash against Windward Islands here Friday.

Gibson rates Pollard as test debut looms

BRISBANE, Australia - West Indies Head Coach Ottis Gibson has praised big hitting West Indies batsman Kieron Pollard for demonstrating composure to score a century in the fourth One-Day against Australia.

Pollard scored an unbeaten 109 at the Sydney Cricket Ground and followed up with 45 in the final match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Rampaul targets international return

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad - West Indies fast bowler Ravi Rampaul has his sights on the upcoming home series against Zimbabwe to launch his return to international cricket after being sidelined with injury.

Rampaul, who was out of action for two months due to knee troubles, has said he is 100 percent fit again.
