Bootan spins North Zone to big win

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD - North Zone leg-spinner Jesse Bootan's match haul of 11 wickets to lead his team to an innings and 45-run win over North East in their BG T&T InterZone Under-19 match at Santa Cruz yesterday.

Bootan grabbed six for 43 in the second innings to help dismiss North East for 132. Bootan had five for 21 in the first innings.

Smith enjoying life after cricket

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD - Former Trinidad and Tobago cricket team captain Richard Smith is enjoying life after cricket, but is pleased to see the success of the national squad, albeit in the T20 format.

The 31 year-old Grenadian has captured two 4 Day Man-of-the-Match awards along with one in the Super50 Tournament. 

Ramdoo stars in T&T North Zone

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD - Joshua Ramdoo played a captain's knock yesterday, scoring an unbeaten 92 to lead his North Zone team to an 82-run first innings lead against North East at stumps on day one of their BG T&T InterZone Under-19 match at Santa Cruz yesterday.

T&T Under 17 tourney underway

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD - Off-spinners Carl Vialva and Anand Lochan ensured North Zone began their BG T&T InterZone Under-17 title defence in style as they beat North East by ten wickets in the first round at Serpentine Road, St Clair yesterday.
