Bridgetown, Barbados - Combined Campuses & Colleges (CCC) beat Barbados by five wickets with 17 overs to spare in their second 50-over practice match at 3Ws Oval here today.

Set 153 to win, CCC scored 156 for five off 33 overs.

Chadwick Walton was caught at mid-off by Carlos Brathwaite off left-arm spinner Sulieman Benn for 17 (33-1; 6 overs); Shacaya Thomas, cutting, was caught low at point by Jonathan Carter off left-arm spinner Jamar Griffith for 31 (74-2; 13.2 overs); Kyle Corbin was caught at long-on by Kraigg Brathwaite off off-spinner Ashley Nurse for 27 (125-3; 24.3 overs); left-hander Anthony Alleyne was leg before wicket on the backfoot by off-spinner Kenroy Williams for 39 (131-4; 27.2 overs) and Kavem Hodge was caught at deep midwicket by substitute Shai Hope off Williams for nought (135-5; 29.4 overs).

The not out batsmen were Raymon Reifer on seven and fellow left-hander Kyle Mayers, 20.

Williams took two for 13 off five overs.

Barbados were bowled out for 152 in 41.5 overs after winning the toss.

Skipper Kevin Stoute topscored with 51 at No 5. He faced 63 balls and struck three fours and two sixes.

Veteran off-spinner Ryan Austin took three for 12 off 4.5 overs; leg-spinner Akeem Dewar, three for 28 off ten overs and off-spinner and captain Steven Jacobs, two for 17 off seven overs.  

Rashidi Boucher was run out for 26 by a direct throw from point by Kavem Hodge to the non-striker's end (41-1; 8.1 overs); Shane Dowrich was caught at cover by Jacobs off Dewar for seven (51-2; 11.5 overs); left-hander Carter, shaping to turn through the on-side, was leg before wicket by Dewar for eight (66-3; 19.2 overs); Kraigg Brathwaite, driving, was caught at slip by Kyle Corbin off Dewar for 20 (70-4; 21.3 overs); Kenroy Williams, pulling, was leg before wicket by off Austin for seven (92-5; 27.5 overs); Carlos Brathwaite, driving, was caught by substitute wicket-keeper Hodge off Jacobs for four (97-6; 30.1 overs); Stoute, pulling, was brilliantly caught, low at short fine-leg by Austin off medium-pacer Kyle Mayers (144-7; 37.5 overs); Dwayne Smith, hitting out, was caught at long-on by Corbin off Austin for 12 (151-8; 39.4 overs); left-hander Benn, pushing forward, was comprehensively bowled by Jacobs for nought and Fidel Edwards, groping, was caught at slip by Raymon Reifer off Austin for one (152 all out; 41.5 overs), leaving Nurse unbeaten on five.

Barbados won the first match - a Day/Night - by five wickets at the same venue last Thursday.

The teams are preparing for WICB NAGICO Super50 championship in Trinidad & Tobago from January 30 to February 16.

Both Barbados and CCC are competing in Zone B, along with Trinidad and Tobago and the Leeward Islands.
