Bridgetown, Barbados - Quadre Smith grabbed a five-wicket haul to help bowl Mical Stuart's XI to a 20-run win over Najee Holder's XI in the second Barbados Under-17 limited overs trial match at Desmond Haynes Oval on Wednesday.
Smith took five for 26 off 9.1 overs as Holder's XI, chasing 224 for victory in 50 overs, were bowled out for 203 in 47.1 overs after a second wicket partnership of 115 in 26.1 overs between Tashawn Boyce and Shaquan Cave had given them hope of victory.
Cave topscored with 79 off 106 balls including ten fours and two sixes, while Boyce made 57 off 91 balls with five fours and one six.
The last eight wickets fell for 31 runs.
Kevon Bartlett supported Smith by picking up three for 48 off ten overs.
Limar Pierce hit 70 off 82 balls with six fours and three sixes in a total of 223 all out off 48 overs after Stuart's XI won the toss.
