PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD - The 2013 group of Scotiabank Kiddy Cricketers will be displaying their skills on Sunday at the Queen’s Park Oval during the lunch interval of the West Indies match against Sri Lanka in the ongoing tri-series.

The group of approximately 80 boys and girls represents the top schools in this year’s Kiddy Cricket Programme.

These schools — St Agnes Anglican, Belmont Government, Valencia RC, Chaguanas Government, Preysal Government, Avocat Vedic and New Grant — emerged as top performing schools in the Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket Festival, with Chaguanas Government in the overall winning position.

They will demonstrate during the break, the techniques of batting, bowling, catching and fielding which they developed during the training and coaching provided by the Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket Programme.

Chirpy, the Kiddy Cricket Mascot, who was unveiled last year will also join the young cricketers on the field. The display at the Oval will also feature the Kiddy Cricket Minute, which features aspiring cricketer Kervon Manpaul of Bonne Aventure Primary School interviewing West Indies’ all-rounder, Kieron Pollard, who provided the youngster with valuable coaching tips and mentoring advice.

Scotiabank is proud to be the Official Bank of West Indies Cricket and the Exclusive Sponsor of Scotiabank Kiddy Cricket, which is administered by the West Indies Cricket Board throughout the region.
