Currency, Ambris 50s drive Windwards

ST GEORGE’S, Grenada, CMC – Romel Currency struck his second successive half-century as Windward Islands prospered on the opening day of their fifth round match in the Regional Four-Day Championship against Leeward Islands.

The right-hander stroked 76 as the Windwards, opting to bat first at the National Stadium here Friday, managed 292 all out.

St John's, Antigua - Day 1 of Round 5 of the Regional 4-Day Tournament starts today with three matches being played across the Caribbean.

At 10am Eastern Caribbean Time, the Windward Islands and Leeward Islands meet at the Grenada National Stadium. The last seven matches between the two sides have each produced a winner, with the Leewards holding a 4-3 edge.
