Martin on the mark as Leewards send Guyana packing

Kingston, Jamaica – The Leeward Islands became the fourth team to book a place in the semi-finals of the WICB Regional 50 Over Tournament when they had a 13-run win (under Duckwoth/Lewis) over Guyana in a rain-hit match at Sabina Park on Tuesday.

The Leewards, who came into the tournament as underdogs, booked their spot thanks mainly to the superb bowling of pacer Gavin Tonge (4-0-20-2) and spinner Anthony Martin (6-3-5-3).

Rain has final say as Sagicor HPC and Leewards share points

Kingston, Jamaica – The Leeward Islands and Sagicor High Performance Centre had to share the points on Sunday as their Group B match in the WICB Regional 50 Over Tournament ended in a no-decision due to heavy rain in the afternoon.  Both teams are now locked on two points from two matches with one more match to play. Both teams were beaten in the opening round last Friday – Leewards by Barbados and Sagicor HPC by Guyana.
