Leewards limited to 124-7, Jamaicans need 125 to win

Leeward Islands made 124-7 off their 20 overs after deciding to bat first in Match 2 of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Caribbean T20 Tournament at Kensington Oval on Thursday night. Jamaica will need 125 to win off their 20 overs. Tonito Willet topscored with 37 off 35 balls, including two fours and a six.

Santokie takes two quick wickets to rock Leewards

Leeward Islands reached 53-3 off 10 overs after deciding to bat first in Match 2 of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Caribbean T20 Tournament at Kensington Oval on Thursday night. The topscore so far has come from opener Javier Liburd who made 25 from 26 balls. Left-arm pacer Krishmar Santokie has been Jamaica’s best bowler with 2-8 off two overs. He dismissed opener Shane Jeffers for five and next ball shattered the stumps of skipper Wilden Cornwall.

Gayle run out in mix-up but Jamaica reach 67-1 off 10 overs

Jamaica reached 67-1 off 10 overs in pursuit of 125 in 20 overs against Leeward Islands in Match 2 of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Caribbean T20 Tournament at Kensington Oval on Thursday night. They need another 58 to win in the final 10 overs to win and join Trinidad and Tobago at the top of Zone A.
