PREVIEW: Regional 4 Day, Round 2

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – Reigning champions Jamaica and Guyana will be two of the teams looking to make the most headway in the second round of the Regional 4-Day Tournament, starting on Friday.

The Jamaicans will be looking to secure their second straight victory, when they welcome traditional powerhouses Barbados into the tournament at Sabina Park.

The Guyanese are also eyeing their second consecutive victory, when they face Windward Islands at Windsor Park.

Ambrose all smiles as he joins CCC

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, CMC – West Indies fast bowling legend Curtly Ambrose will work with the Combined Campuses and Colleges as a fast bowling consultant for the remainder of the Regional Four-Day Championship, it was announced here Wednesday.

The 48-year-old, who snatched 405 wickets in 98 Tests before retiring 12 years ago, started his stint with the CCC earlier this week and said he was looking forward to the new relationship.

Johnson, Deonarine steady Guyana vs Leewards

ROSEAU, Dominica, CMC – Leon Johnson stroked a half-century as Guyana made the most of the rain-hit opening day of their first round match in the Regional Four-Day Championship match against Leeward Islands here Friday.

St Kitts, Antigua to host Guyana

St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board has announced that Guyana’s third and fourth round matches in the Regional 4 Day Tournament will be held in St Kitts and Antigua respectively.
