QPCC recall Morton's ‘generous spirit’

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD - Queen's Park Cricket Club will dedicate the rest of the 2012 season to Runako Morton.

Tributes pour in for Runako

Mere hours after Runako Morton passed away following a vehicular accident late Sunday night, social media were buzzing with tributes for the former Leewards Islands, Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies batsman.

Runako Morton – A true warrior

About two years ago on a Saturday afternoon I found myself at the Queen’s Park Oval watching Queen’s Park Cricket Club chasing a Merryboys target. The QPCC boys were casually following the action as their team had the run chase under control. There was the usual banter and laughter among them. Deonarine, Narine lead the pack

T&T offspinner Sunil Narine is currently the leading wicket-taker in the Regional Four Day Tournament, despite having played in one less match than the other bowlers in the top five. The 23-year-old, who orchestrated the Red Force's victories over CCC and the Windward Islands, has now taken 31 scalps in three games (ave:9.61).
