KC, Vere clash in T20 Final

Kingston, Jamaica - Kingston College (KC) will take on Vere Technical in the final of the inaugural SIG Schools Invitational T20 competition this afternoon at Chedwin Park, St Catherine. 

Both teams scored eight-wicket wins over St Jago and Manchester High respectively to take their place in the final where they will compete for $100,000 in cricket gear. The losing finalists will get $50,000 worth of gear.

In matches played yesterday, KC defeated St Jago by eight wickets.

Scores: St Jago 95 for nine in 20 overs (Sachin Taylor 20, Andre Fowler, 20; Oshane Wright 4 for 20). KC 96 for 2 off 16.2 overs (Tevin Campbell 42, Maurice Brown 38 not out).

3rd-Place Playoff

In the second semi-final, Vere also beat Manchester High by eight wickets.

Scores: Manchester 111 for seven in 20 overs (Mario Levy 45, Claude White 32); Vere 112 for two in 13.3 overs (Thavi Spencer 62, Randre Christie 33 not out).

The third-place playoff between St Jago and Man-chester will commence at 9:30 a.m. with the final set to start at 1:30. Admission is J$200.
