AT WARNER PARK - Windward Islands v T&T

Trinidad & Tobago were edged out by the Windward Islands on Day 3 of the final round but still managed to secure second place. Set a victory target of 245 runs, T&T started the third and final day in some trouble at 93/4.

Still needing a further 152 runs for victory, Vikash Mohan went from two overnight to 45. His knock was a patient one, lasting 162 deliveries. Brian Christmas supported him well, striking 24 from 62 balls in a knock that included three fours.

But as T&T wilted by losing wickets, numbers and nine and ten put up a resistance to give the 'Trinis' hope. Al Small hit 23 runs from 39 balls before he was unluckily run out. Spinner, Jesse Bootan, chipped in with 21 from 35 balls.

But as T&T got closer to their target, star of the second innings for the Windwards, Larry Edward returned to deliver the match to his team, bowling Bootan. He would finish with 5-86, while Preston Mc Sween and Taryck Gabriel had two each. The Windwards finished fourth on the table on 27 points.
