ST JOHN’S, Antigua, CMC – Left-handers Narsingh Deonarine and Leon Johnson stroked accomplished half-centuries but Guyana lost a clatter of wickets in the last session to surrender their firm grip on the opening day of their Regional 4Day match against leaders Jamaica on Friday.

ST. JOHN’S, Antigua CMC – Jamaica are looking to continue their dominance, when they face Guyana in a top-of-the-table clash in the fourth round of the Regional 4-Day Tournament, starting on Friday.

At the same time, third-placed hosts Trinidad & Tobago are looking to do the same against Windward Islands in Port of Spain, and Barbados are looking to forge ahead at the expense of the Combined Campuses & Colleges in Bridgetown.

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, CMC – Former West Indies captain Ramnaresh Sarwan has made a surprise return to the Guyana squad for their clash with Jamaica in the fourth round of the Regional 4Day Championship starting Friday.

Fudadin grows with maiden century

Basseterre, St Kitts - It took Assad Fudadin longer than expected to register his maiden first-class century, but now that he has it under his belt, the Guyana batsman is looking for many more.

The 26-year-old left-hander reached three figures for the first time in his 44th first-class match in last weekend’s victory against Combined Campuses & Colleges in the third round of the Regional 4 Day tournament. He made a hard-fought 102 not out in close to five hours at the crease as the Guyanese earned a big first innings lead.

Guyana win despite Walton's great ton

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, CMC – Half-centuries from Leon Johnson and Narsingh Deonarine trumped Chadwick Walton’s maiden first-class hundred, propelling Guyana to an historic four-wicket victory over Combined Campuses & Colleges in the Regional 4-Day Tournament on Sunday.

Johnson hit the top score of 54 and Deonarine made 50, as the Guyanese, in pursuit of 217 for victory, hit the jackpot about 20 minutes before the scheduled close on the final day of their third round match at Warner Park.
