New boy Foo to the fore as Guyana see off Windwards

Jonathan Foo played the innings of his life on Friday evening as Guyana beat Windward Islands in Match 3 of the West Indies Cricket Board’s Caribbean T20 Tournament. The previously unheard of 19-year-old, in just his first knock at this level, made a brilliant 24 not out off just 10 balls as Guyana ended on 160-5 off 19.2 overs. At one stage they looked beaten chasing down 157-8 made by Windwards.

Lewis and Cush share spotlight as Windwards reach 157-8

The Windward Islands benefitted from some strong hitting at the death to reach a challenging 157-8 off their 20 overs against Guyana in Match 3 of the West Indies Board’s Caribbean T20 Tournament at Kensington Oval on Friday afternoon. Guyana need 158 off 20 overs to win the Group B match.

Guyana lose Chattergoon and Sarwan; 76-2 off 10 overs

Guyana reached 76-2 off the first 10 overs in pursuit of 157-8 made by the Windward Islands in Match 3 of the West Indies Board’s Caribbean T20 Tournament at Kensington Oval on Friday afternoon. A tight finish is in store as Guyana need another 82 off the last 10 overs.

Windwards Islands sent in to bat against Guyana

Guyana won the toss and decided to bowl first against the Windward Islands in Match 3 of the West Indies Board’s Caribbean CT20 Tournament at Kensington Oval on Friday afternoon. This match is the first encounter in Group B. The second match will be between Barbados and Combined Campuses & Colleges on Friday night.

Johnson Charles takes Windwards to 72-1 off 10 overs

Windward Islands, sent in to bat against Guyana, reached 72-1 in the 10th over in Match 3 of the West Indies Board’s Caribbean T20 Tournament at Kensington Oval on Friday afternoon. Right-handed opener Johnson Charles is going well on 49 from 34 balls. He has so far smashed six fours and a big straight six. With him at the crease is Andre Fletcher (14 not out). They came together after Devon Smith fell for four and have so far added 53 off 40 balls.
