Bridgetown, Barbados - ICBL Empire beat Guardian General Barbados Youth by eight wickets in the third quarter-final match of the 2013 BCA Sagicor General Twenty20 championship at Kensington Oval today.

Chasing 83 to win, Empire scored 86 for two off 11 overs.

Bridgetown, Barbados, October 6 - (www.bcacricket.org) - ICBL Empire, chasing 83 to win, were 68 for two off ten overs against Guardian General Barbados Youth in the third quarter-final match of the 2013 BCA Sagicor General Twenty20 championship at Kensington Oval today.

The not out batsmen were Kevin Stoute on 39 and Alcindo Holder, 22.

Kodi Phillips was leg before wicket by fast bowler Akeem Jordan for four as he played across a pitched-up delivery (23-1; 3.4 overs) and left-hander Jason Haynes was yorked by left-arm pacer Tariq Shorey for two (32-2; 4.4 overs).

Barbados Youth were bowled out for 82 off 17.2 overs after they were sent in.

Aaron Jones topscored with 22 off 27 balls, hitting one four and one six.

Viataly Wilkinson was the only other double-figure contributor with 13.

Fast bowler Brandon Best was the leading wicket-taker with three for ten off three overs.

Left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican picked up two for two off 1.2 overs and medium-pacer Lemar Mascoll, two for 27 off four overs.
