Eden Lodge through to semis

Bridgetown, Barbados - The semi-final matchups have been decided in the National Sports Council’s (NSC) Guardian General Insurance Herman Griffith Primary Schools’ Cricket Competition.

In the final quarter-final game, Eden Lodge defeated Hilda Skeene by four wickets at Friendship yesterday.

Batting first, Hilda Skeene posted a score of 78 all out, with Jarad Alleyne top-scoring with 16 points. Mica Nurse made 15 and Micah Stuart 11. Leading the bowling attack for Eden Lodge was Donte Ludat with four wickets for 18 runs and Shakquir Parris picked up 2/16.

In reply, Eden Lodge reached the target of 82 for the loss of six wickets. Parris returned with the bat to lead the scoring with 25 runs, while Ludat also turned in a good all-round performance with 17 runs with the bat. Sadio Osbourne was undefeated on 10.

Hilda Skeene’s Nurse was the pick of their bowlers with 3/21, while Stuart finished with 2/27.

On Monday, Eden Lodge will come up against St. Christopher in the semi-finals at Friendship, while Bayley’s will play Wesley Hall at Dover.
