Here are the details:

Guyana finished Day 1 with the upper hand over Trinidad and Tobago. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Red Force were bowled out for 194 on the opening day. Brian Christmas and Jeremy Solozano gave T&T a decent start before Solozano went. Solozano though appeared to suffer from over-confidence and was out trying to go over the top.

Soon after Christmas followed. T&T went to Lunch on 86/2 with Camilo Carimbocas (22) and Emilo Gobin (20) putting on an unbroken stand of 69 runs. The pair looked in relative comfort putting on a stand worth over 100 runs. Gobin though fell Leg Before for 33.

From there, T&T fell away, going to Tea on 174/7. Carimbocas was out for 45. Shortly after Tea, Guyana bowled out T&T for 194, with Gudakesh Motie-Kanhai leading Guyana’s charge with 6-42, while Vishoal Narayan took 2-23.

Guyana finished Day 1 on 40/1; Shimron Hetmyer made 32 while Tagenarine Chanderpaul is still there on 7, trailing T&T’s first innings score by 154 runs.

AT WARNER PARK - Windward Islands v Jamaica

Taryck Gabriel was the spine in Windwards' batting on Day 1, hitting a patient 81 to help his team recover after a poor start. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Windwards may have quickly regretted that decision, falling to 13/2 in under five overs.

However, Gabriel's 160-minute stay the crease provided the stability the Windwards sought. Facing 124 balls in his knock, Gabriel struck 11 fours and two sixes to be his team's highest scorer by some distance. Ray Jordan provided a quick 24 from 11 balls at the end but the Windwards still looked well short at 185 all out.

Leading the destruction for Jamaica was  Marquino Mindley, who took 5-42 while Shane Manning had 3-48. Jamaica's response also got off to a shaky start as Ray Jordan and Sherman Lewis both took an early wicket to leave the Jamaicans in trouble at 23/2. However, an unbeaten 50 from Tristan Coleman led the Jamaicans to 88/2 at the close, trailing by 97 runs.
