Bishoo preparing to face Aussies

ROSEAU, Dominica, CMC – West Indies leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo says he is using the Regional Four-Day Championship to develop strategy for Australia’s tour of the Caribbean starting next month.

“This tournament will form part of the build-up to what we can all expect to be a tough series against Australia,” the 26-year-old said.

“I have not played against Australia, but I have been watching and paying close attention to what is happening so I have a few ideas and plans about how to bowl when I get the opportunity.”

St Kitts, Antigua to host Guyana

St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board has announced that Guyana’s third and fourth round matches in the Regional 4 Day Tournament will be held in St Kitts and Antigua respectively.

St John’s, Antigua – The West Indies Cricket Board today announced that it has taken a decision to move the Third Digicel Test which was originally scheduled to be played at the Guyana National Stadium.

Martin bowls Windies to victory

 ST JOHN’S, Antigua, CMC – Big-hitting Kieron Pollard finally came good and rookie leg-spinner Anthony Martin grabbed a four-wicket haul, as a gritty West Indies trounced India by 103 runs to earn a consolation victory in the fourth One-Day International here Monday.

Simmons gets 51 as Windies reach 171

Bridgetown, Barbados, CMC – Lendl Simmons hit the top score of 51 and Darren Bravo supported with 47, but West Indies had another batting letdown against Pakistan in the rain-affected third Digicel One-Day International on Thursday at Kensington Oval.
