Cricket Zone USA supports EYDG

Georgetown, Guyana - The sport segment of the Enmore Youth Development Group (EYDG) was given a major boost last Thursday when Cricket Zone USA presented a quantity of gear to assist the group’s recently formed cricket team.

Cricket Zone USA, owned and operated by Guyanese Ravi Etwaroo in New York, donated batting pads, bats, batting and wicketkeeping gloves, a plastic set for children and badminton shuttles.

Etwaroo, who also made a signficant monetary donation to the group, said he is happy to assist the youths of Enmore, a village in which his family is rooted.

The USA-based Guyanese added that his business establishment has been making efforts to give back to society, and the presentation to the Enmore youngsters is just another means of fulfilling that mandate.

In accepting the equipment, members of the EYDG said they were thankful for the support offered by Etwaroo and his entity, noting that the group is open to persons and businesses, who are willing to assist.

The primary aim of the EYDG is to provide an avenue for youths of the Enmore area to be meaningfully engaged.
