GROS ISLET, St Lucia, CMC – Mighty Trinidad and Tobago reduced the Caribbean Twenty20 final to a no-contest as they crushed out-of-sorts Guyana in a authoritative performance to march to their third consecutive title on Sunday night.

Guyana bat first in Grand Final

GROS ISLET, St Lucia, CMC – Trinidad and Tobago won the toss and sent Guyana in to bat in the final of the Caribbean Twenty20 at the Beausejour Cricket Stadium on Sunday night.

T&T have made one change to their squad from their last preliminary round game, bringing in Jason Mohammed for Yannick Ottley while Guyana are unchanged from their six-wicket win over Jamaica in Saturday’s playoff final.

Chanderpaul out as Guyana bowl

Gros Islet, St Lucia – Guyana will be without experienced batsman Shiv Chanderpaul for Saturday night’s all-important Caribbean T20 Play-off against Jamaica at Beausejour Cricket Ground.

The Guyanese won the toss and decided to field first and Chanderpaul was ruled out with a left hamstring injury. His place was taken by Trevon Griffth, the rookie left-handed opener.

Jamaica are at full strength and named an unchanged side from the one which beat CCC on Friday afternoon.
