T&T opt to bowl against Guyana

North Sound, Antigua - Both teams would have known since the draw that this match would have been the one that decides the fate of Group A. Instead with Trinidad and Tobago's defeat to the Windward Islands in the opening match, the Trinis fine themselves in a position where they could fall short of defending their championship.

Leewards field in must-win match

North Sound, Antigua - Two desperate teams battle in the first match of Friday's slate of Caribbean Twenty20 2012 matches. Canada and the Leeward Islands sit at the bottom of Group A, both winless. Canada are just above the Leewards on the five team table by virtue of a better net run rate with a game in hand.

Barbados blow Group B open

NORTH SOUND, Antigua – An unbroken, opening stand between Dwayne Smith and captain Kirk Edwards raced Barbados to an emphatic 10-wicket victory over the Netherlands in a low-scoring affair in the Caribbean Twenty20 tournament on Thursday.

Reggae Boys too good for Sussex

NORTH SOUND, Antigua – Jamaica followed up a steady half-century from Nkrumah Bonner with purposeful bowling to sweep to a 50-run victory over Sussex in the Caribbean Twenty20 tournament on Thursday.

Leg-spinner Odean Brown led the bowling with three wickets for 17 runs from four overs, as the Sharks failed to successfully chase 153 for victory in their rain-affected, top-of-the-table Group-B match at the Vivian Richards Cricket Ground.
